How to install
Two extra clicks the first time.
Windows
- If Edge says the file "isn't commonly downloaded", click ⋯ → Keep → Show more → Keep anyway.
- Open the installer. If you see "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway.
- AV Tester starts and your 14-day trial begins.
Mac
- Open the .dmg and drag AV Tester into Applications.
- Open AV Tester. When macOS says it can't verify the app, click Done.
- Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway next to AV Tester. Confirm with your password.
You only do this once. AV Tester is safe. The warning appears because the installer isn't code-signed yet, which is on its way.

Good to know
Do I need an account or internet connection?
No account. The app checks your license online about once a day, and keeps working offline for up to 30 days at a time.
What happens after the 14-day trial?
The app asks for a license key. Buy one here and it arrives by email straight away. Paste it in and you're done.
I'm getting a new computer. Can I move my license?
Yes. Open the license window and click "Remove license from this computer", then activate the key on the new one. If the old computer is gone, email us and we'll free the key.
Something doesn't work. Where do I report it?
Use Report a problem in the app, or email info@avs.nu. AV Tester is in beta, so all feedback helps.
Can I buy for my whole team?
Yes. Choose the number of computers at checkout. You get one key that works on that many computers.
